I was so honoured and moved to photograph this smaller than planned wedding at Old Marylebone Town Hall between this wonderful couple a few days before lockdown was announced. The wedding was also two weeks before bride Jemma returned to the frontline of the NHS and her job as a nurse in central London.
Due to the government restrictions Jemma and Antony’s wedding was smaller than they originally planned - just two witnesses, the brides mum and... me! It was super emotional and we were all in tears as Jemma thanked us for being there for them on their day, despite everything, and we all thanked her for doing the most incredible job imaginable and for what she was about to face in the coming weeks. She is truly such a lovely, warm and caring person. It was a joy and an honour to photograph this beautiful pair and give a tiny little thing to someone who gives so much for all of us!
Jemma got ready at an apartment in Marylebone, the ceremony took place in the Westminster Room at the Old Marylebone Town Hall and then the couple went to The Ritz for an overnight stay. It was an intimate, relaxed and beautiful day.
I was thrilled when Claire at The English Wedding Blog chose to feature the wedding on her beautiful and inspirational blog and Instagram... Thank you, Claire! Click here to read the story in full and to see more of my Old Marylebone Town Hall wedding photos...
