Sarah’s St Albans doorstep and garden photography – lockdown 2020

EIGHT weeks of photographing St Albans families on their doorsteps and gardens

SIXTY FAMILIES photographed

AN INCREDIBLE £960 raised for Noah’s Ark Hospice

WOW! What an incredible experience it has been photographing so many families throughout this crazy period! I initially offered to photograph my immediate neighbours in Fleetville, St Albans on their doorsteps to capture little keepsakes of their families after six weeks in lockdown. I was blown away by the response and within a few days I was fully booked. I set myself the target of photographing as many families as I could within two weeks with 100% of donations going straight to Noah’s Ark Hospice.

Due to such an overwhelming response and support from the wonderful Caroline at Mum’s Guide To St Albans, the lovely Karen at St Albans Mum and all of your word of mouth recommendations (thank you, thank you!) I decided to extend the doorstep and garden photos until the last day of June. I have squeezed in as many shoots as I possibly could in around looking after my toddler full time, my husbands full time work schedule and my baby bump. It’s been quite hectic but SO WONDERFUL and I’ve absolutely loved this experience.

Together we have raised almost £1,000 for such an important and special charity! Your generous donations have made this all possible.

After the initial two weeks of fundraising, I changed to a slightly more sustainable format and offered mini garden shoots. The last six weeks have given my small business a huge boost at this time of great uncertainty and a summer of cancelled wedding photography!

It’s now business as usual for me (almost, lockdown restrictions permitting!) and I’m offering outdoor couple and family photography to capture memories… plus maybe one or two small weddings!

Thank you again for all your support, word of mouth recommendations, lovely emails and donations… it has meant the world to me!
